After completing his degree in computer science at Otago, Luke specialised in the development and commercialisation of new technology in the ICT sector. He co-founded Skinkers, which grew to be the world leader in desktop alerting software, winning a European award for innovation in 2006. Clients included broadcasters and large corporates (e.g. the Wall Street Journal) around the world.
After Microsoft bought Skinkers, Luke returned to Dunedin and has started a new game development company called Clocktower Games, employing several Otago graduates and using an innovative blend of film and graphics as their competitive advantage. Clocktower Games plan to release their first commercial game in June 2008.
