(1) Complete the previous lab on the model of a gene regulatory network. Submit the code you've developed and the results in a short report.
However, you do not have to complete this if you find the option 2 or 3 more interesting.
(2) You can download a free program for 2D visualisation of genomes
(needs Java) and produce some nice fractal images of chosen genomes or chromosomes or genes.
Submit the most interesting ones in a short report saying which image corresponds to what.
(3) You can try to develop a similar code yourself. The description how to go about it can be found
in this document on fractal representation of symbolic sequences .
Submit the code you have developed plus some images if you manage to produce any.
Note: You can retrieve the DNA/RNA sequences for visualisation from the
GenBank or you can use some
RNA sequences from the first assignment.
