Wolfgang Seibold Wolfgang is a PhD student in the department and will be presenting this talk at the CGI conference later this year. Seminar Title: Too many Triangles Abstract: Triangles can be displayed very rapidly through graphics hardware. Unfortunately computer models are mostly solid objects. To be able to display and manipulate them on a screen they are decomposed into a mesh of triangles. Finding these triangles is not a simple or solved task. Our research has been focused on the questions: What is a good mesh and how can we find it? We investigated a new triangulation algorithm and we will present the results achieved so far.
