Bob Parslow Visitor to Department of Computer Science Title: Exam Techniques Most students spend a vast amount of time working for an exam, but rarely plan for their attack on the paper. There are a number of self evident rules but they are not obeyed under the panic that ensues once we enter the exam room. Back in Œ64, using these rules the average of the test group was 15% higher than the control group. Evidently it is not a magic wand that improves the marks of people who have not worked through the semester, nor is it likely to improve A grades, but it does seem to be most effective for border line students. The outline strategy will be given as well as a check list of the most important features. Where: Castle 2 When: Friday 22 May at 1.00 pm
