Title :
The America's Cup, orcas and real-time animation (or what I did last
summer).

Abstract:
The America's Cup 2000 marked the point at which ARL left the world of
pre-rendered animation and moved into real-time delivery of animation to
television and the Internet. This talk gives a brief overview of the
America's Cup, our part in it, and the future of sports presentation.

Or in the words of Peter Montgomery... "It's a beautiful day out here on
the Hauraki Gulf, and the blow torch is on the Y-fronts as the rocket
scientists from ARL enter the hi-octane world of the Formula One of
yachting that is the America's Cup."
