Bio:

Ariel Hendel is a Distinguished Engineer in Sun Microsystems Scalable Systems Group, with extensive industry experience in the areas of semiconductors, LANs, and I/O subsystems, through his various positions in IC designer, LAN system design, product planning, standards development, and systems architecture gained at Intel, Standard Microsystems Corporation, and Sun Microsystems. Ariel Hendel holds  B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from Technion, Haifa and Polytechnic University, New York, respectively, has more than 20 patents issued, several publications in journals and trade magazines, received Sun's Chairman Award in the year 2001, and joined the Distinguished Engineer ranks in 2003.
