XML information
retrieval in the INEX workshop series has, for a large part, focused on
creating algorithms for testing against the test collections provided by the
IEEE and Wikipedia. The use case track is a new track at INEX and represents an
attempt at identifying examples of how XML IR systems can be exploited by
end-users for various purposes. In the present article we present a summary of
the discussions and findings of the track.
