Report on the SIGIR 2008 Workshop on Focused

On July 24, 2008 the SIGIR Workshop on Focused Retrieval
was held as part of SIGIR in Singapore. Nine paper
were presented in three sessions and in a fourth session—joint with the SIGIR
2008 Workshop on Aggregate Search—there was a panel discussion. The report outlines
