Reading Notes on Simple Matrices Formulas

Abstract:

This document provides with the expressions of $ 4\times 4$ simple matrices. The understanding of these matrices is of relevance for building more complex transformations. The transformation of a point, $ p = (p_x, p_y, p_z, 1)$, or a vector, $ v = (v_x, v_y, v_z, 0)$, do not involve matrix algebra, and their closed forms are given. For some applications, the logarithm of the matrix may be required, and their closed forms are provided as well. The $ \log$ and $ \exp$ formulas were made-up from scratch, and I have no idea if these can be found in the litterature.
