Resources

The following are useful resources which are available on the internet. Many of these are local copies, but some, marked with asterisks (* *), are international links. Since we pay for international internet traffic, you are asked to exercise some responsibility in the use of these resources.

Documentation

Mirage: Mirage is a ray-tracer used in the Lab. It was written by Chris  Butcher, and this documentation was prepared by Sophie Day over the 1997/98 summer break. It is a little dated, but still useful.

Libraries

The University Library: Quite a useful set of resources, including on-line catalogues etc. A few of the highlights are given below...

* Web of Science *: A searchable index of recent journal papers. You can search for authors, titles, citations, and more. Note that the University has only a limited number of `seats' on WoS, so do not leave yourself connected to this site unless you need to.

Interloan form: Now you can order interloans from the comfort of your own terminal! Be sure to check with the online catalogue that the item you request is not in the library first.

Vision Resources

* Carnegie Mellon University Computer Homepage *: An excellent site to start exploring from. This link is to the text-only version. There is also a prettier (but more expensive) `graphics enhanced' version.

* Computer Vision Conference List *: This site gives the dates for paper submissions for the major Computer Vision conferences.

* USC Bibliography *: A big site with lots and lots of references and papers, sorted by author, title, journal, keyword, and subject.

General Resources

* Hypatia *: A directory of research workers in Computer Science and Pure Mathematics, and a library of their papers.
