Zhiyi Huang received his BSc degree in Computer Science from the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) in China in 1986. He obtained his PhD degree in Computer Science in 1992 from the same university.
He worked in industry from 1992 to 1996, while he was a Lecturer in Dept. of Computer Science at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) during the same time period. Then he worked in the School of Computing & Information Technology at Griffith University as a Research Fellow from 1996 to 1998.
His main interests are parallel/distributed/internet computing, cluster computing, computer networks, embedded systems, and open source projects. He has also done research on the ATM network and its applications, parallel logic programming, and neural networks.
