  • Hand Pose Estimation
I want the computer to be able to continuously estimate the shape of the hand, rather than just recognise discrete gestures by matching pictures from a database. This will allow detailed hand motion to be used as user input, the ability to sculpt a lump of virtual clay is our target. The project is part of the Marsden fund work towards the Watching Window environment, which currently uses the overall position of the head and hand. The final target is to also use eye position and hand shape information.(June 2003)

  • Musical signal feature extraction
Download my software Tartini: Music Analysis Tool Tartini is a real-time music analysis tool. It allows a musician to simply play sound into the computer and it will display useful technical information about your sound including information on pitch, dynamics (loudness) and harmonic structure. This is suitable for both amateur and professional musicians alike.
