One Time Set Up

You need to do this ONCE before you can use Oracle.
Setup files are fragile things - if you edit yours and make a mistake, you may not be able to log in.
You MUST save a copy before altering it.

Type the following exactly as written:

cp -p ~/.bashrc ~/.bashrc-saved
cat /coursework/344/pickup/bashrc >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc

If you wish to check the settings of your Oracle environmental variables, type the following exactly as written:

env | grep -i ora
