A vertebra model is used to reconstruct a 3D model of the spine from two 2D x-ray images. X-ray images allow clinicians to image the spine more frequently than direct 3D imaging techniques which require much higher doses of radiation. By using two views of the patient, one from the front and one from the side, we hope to be able to model the entire spine.
